optimization of a drying unit for the production of additives for baking mixtures

A manufacturer of additives for baking mixtures had to extend its production capacities.

During the procedure used so far the liquid paste was led directly into a meal dryer.

The achievement of the existing plant could be trebled by connecting an Leiblein infra red drier. The liquid paste is laid on as film on a drum. The wasseranteil evaporates.

The paste reaches thereby a pastelike consistence and is promoted with an auger to the existing meal dryer.

As a further advantage it was reached that the sticky phase of the drying process could be put outside of the meal drier. Thus the working reliability was substantially increased.
