practical conditions:
In a glass factory the finishing process is cutting and grinding the products. The machines need cooling water.
After using the cooling water is contaminated with glass particles. It is collected in a pump sump. The reuse the water it has to be purified.
function specifications:
The waste water is pumped to a lamella separator. Before entering the separator a flocculation agent is added. The result is that also finest particles can be separated.
The glass particles settle down onto the lamellas and slides down into the sludge funnel. A continuously rotating sludge scraper prevent compaction of the sludge. After reaching a defined sludge level it is pumped out to an inclined filter for further dewatering.
The purified water flows from the lamella separator into the clear water tank and is pumped on demand to the grinding machines.
