practical conditions:
A modern treatment plant for gravel and sand had been built at Zwisler company in Tettnang, near lake Bodensee. The chosen process was a wet treatment for the gravel and sand.
The ground water deposit is very retransitionaled. Also the provided space was very retransitionaled. Therefore the plant had to provide best washing results with a minimum of water consumption. The demands were that the plant had to be compact, reliable, economical and also inexpensive. A water recycling plant from Leiblein company fulfilled all these demands.

container with the flocculant-plant, lamella separator, wet-treatment-plant |
function specifications:
The washing water from the wet-treatment-plant flows through a statical mixing chute to the lamella separator. In the mixing chute a flocculant is added.
The flocculated water flows in the middle channel of the lamella separator, flows down, turns and flows up through the lamellas. Here the particles and the flocs settle down and slides into the sludge funnel. The clear water flows back to the clear water tank for reuse in the wet-treatment-plant.
The plant for preparation and conditioning of the flocculant is installed in a 24-feet-container.
A sludge level measurement is fitted in the sludge funnel of the lamella separator. As a result a maximum dry substance value is achievable.
This plant shows that a high-grade wet-treatment is also possible with a minimum of water consumption.
