purification of stone grinding water

A cooling water is needed for the mechanical finishing (cutting, grinding) of refractories. After using the water is loaded with fine ceramic particles.

Leiblein company developed a new process to clean the water and to reuse it.

lamella separator

The loaded water is collected in a basin. An agitator avoid sedimentation in the basin. Now the water is pumped to a lamella separator. To separate also fine particles a flocculant is added. In the lamella separator all particles settle down and are collected in the sludge funnel. The puryfied water flows to the clear water basin and is pumped back to the grinding/cutting machines. A scraper is installed in the lamella separator to avoid blocking in the sludge funnel. The sludge is pumped out to a drainage container in intervalls.

During manufacturing the treatment plant runs continiuously, after stoppage it is afterrunning. Water loss is feeded automatically.
