Cooling water circuit in glass industry

practical conditions:

The manufacturing machines in the glass industry need cooling water. During the process the cooling water is polluted with glass particles and splinters, oil and grease and also it is warmed. The bigger particles are removed by a scraper conveyer. But the fine particles, oil and grease still remain in the water. To save the cooling towers against incrustation and to ensure a good and constant water quality the water has to be treated.

An optimal solution to purify the water is the use of Leiblein-lamella separators.

function principle:

In the lamella separator the waste water flows parallel the lamellas up. Particles settle down onto the lamella plates and slide down into the sludge funnel. The clear water flows up and through an overflow wire out of the separator for further treatment (cooling tower) or usage.
