The vacuum belt filter VBF 1000 is used for the separation of solids out of coolants, waste water and lots of other media. The separation happens through an endless filter belt, thus no filter fleece is needed which causes very low consequential costs.
Compared to hydrostatic working filters the vacuum belt filter has the advantage, that the filtration happens with the help of vacuum exhaust. Thereby higher flow rates and a better drainage of the dry sludge are achieved. By the use of lots of different combination varieties of fineness and materials of the filter belt and because of the case material stainless steel, lots of application possibilities are given.
Because of the mere mechanical purification no chemical changes of the medium are caused, thus the device is well suited for circular flow media.
In the vacuum filter the dirty fluid is pumped through the filter belt. Dry sludge builds up on top of the filter belt. Under the fleece a vacuum is created and the fluid is drawn through filter belt and dry sludge. The more dry sludge builds up, the less is filtered and the dirty fluid accumulates. As soon as a certain water level is reached, a float switch is activated, the filter belt moves forward and the dry sludge is carried out and stripped of. At the same time the filter belt is renewed.
